A practical guide

Before you launch your first paid campaign

A readiness guide for your offer, landing page, measurement and advertising budget.

Make the offer specific

Advertising cannot make an unclear offer easy to buy. Write down who the offer is for, what they receive and the next action you want them to take. Check that the same promise appears on the destination page.

  • Choose one offer for the first test.
  • Make pricing or the enquiry process understandable.
  • Use claims you can substantiate.

Check the full journey

Open the page on your phone and follow every step. A broken form or an unexpected redirect can waste traffic before campaign performance is even meaningful.

  • Test page links and the contact route.
  • Check the confirmation message and where enquiries arrive.
  • Make sure mobile content is readable and useful.

Separate the budgets

Agency fees, media spend, creative production and software are different costs. Decide what you can allocate to each before choosing the campaign scope. A small, focused test is easier to understand than an underfunded plan across many channels.

  • Set the advertising spend separately from the agency fee.
  • Identify any software or creative costs.
  • Agree who can approve spending changes.

Decide what you will learn

Define a useful signal and a review date before launch. A click is not the same as an enquiry, and an enquiry is not the same as a sale. Early data can be incomplete, so review context as well as totals.

  • Check what tracking is available and permitted.
  • Record changes to the offer or landing page.
  • Compare results with the original learning goal.

Turn the preparation into a conversation.

You do not need every answer before getting in touch. Bring what you have, and we can clarify the scope together.
